Everyone once and awhile there is a commercial out there so awesomly mind-blowing that I want to share it with all of you. Loooooove this one by Toyota. It's an earth friendly, feel-good little ditty that makes me smile. :) Check out the ad below.

THEN check out a behinds the scenes look at the creation of this spot. Mad kudos go out to the awesome work of Andrew Christou, Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi LA, and his team.

A Vero Beach Love Story

It's pretty clear by my profession that I just love a wedding. So when I have the privilege of actually being in one, well, you know it's going to be a blast. March of 2009 was a month of many great events. Not only did I become an aunt, but my dear friend Danielle Eufemia had her turn at the alter. Her marriage to Andy Kraus was a gorgeous event to be a part of...great people, great memories and a fabulous venue! Ducky and I met freshmen year of college while living in the same dorm. We became fast friends and I somehow convinced this "anti-greek" to join my Phi Mu sisterhood. The rest is history. I was in love with her photographer, Thomas G, and stole a million images from his site so this is going to be a long post... enjoy the shots!

It's she just gorgeous?!

Thanks for throwing it right at me Ducky ;)

I'm a bit behind on the posting but it's time to show the world a little of my sweet little baby niece, Sophia Lynn. Born March 6, 2009 at 5 lbs 15 oz, to Amelia and Jo Colonna- 2 of the most proud parents ever. The whole family joined together at the Winter Park hospital to welcome this sweet thing into our lives. We love you Sophia!

The past month has taught us a lesson about mother nature here on 13th Road. One afternoon I discovered a bird's nest being built in my front door wreath. Wow, how neat (I totally sounded like my dad there!) maybe there will be eggs! And soon after, there were! 5 cute little bird eggs popped up over night. Mama bird watched over them and only left the nest when we opened the door- so we knew she was close by. Of course, we had to name them. James chose the first 3, and I, the last 2. :)

As we eagerly awaited to see what would happen- the eggs finally hatched and there were 5 small, funny looking creatures tucked in right up against my door. I could faintly hear them squeaking and watched their heads pop up hoping I was bringing food. It was so cute :)

My neighbors came to take pictures, and we were all routing for the babies. One night, after James got home late from studying, things took a turn for the worse. He found a cat running away and 5 babies on the ground. He quickly came to their rescue, scooped them up and placed them back in their nest. Somehow they all survived the fall!

The next morning I checked on Huey, Duey, Luey, Marilyn and Chuck and they seemed to be ok. But Mama Bird was no where to be found. And she never showed up again. My theory is that she sacrificed herself to save the lives of her little babies.

It was amazing to watch these animals start from just eggs, and turn into active (and messy!) birds. I'm sorry to say this story doesn't have a happy ending though. Without Mama Bird to keep them warm, the babies didn't make it through the 2 days of freezing weather we just had. It breaks my heart because they might have survived had the weather stayed warm. I was all ready to feed them with an eye dropper and raise them myself. It's a hard world out there for small fragile creatures- but for short amount of time they were around, they were sure admired. Rest Is Peace little Huey, Duey, Luey, Marilyn and Chuck.

I'm a little late, but I had to include a post about 2008's most amazing wedding- Jill and Martino Di Benedetto :) On December 12, 2008 in Miami Beach Fl, we celebrated this union is Style! My dear friend Jillian looked gorgeous- AND had 3 fabulous dresses to strut her stuff in. With 15 (yes, 15!) bridesmaids at her side, this lady finally tied the knot with the guy who caught her eye back in high school! I was honored to be a part of such a beautiful day. Mozel Tov!

The huppah

Isn't she pretty? :)
